The ROCK

The ROCK ministry exists to provide a safe, Christian environment for recreation, learning, and strengthening relationships for youth and their families in Oakdale and surrounding communities. It is ROCK’s ambition to:

ROCK is particularly committed to providing a safe, fun place for students. It offers after school tutoring each day for an hour with volunteers. We have also partnered with EdVenture Group to offer a math program for 4th-6th graders staffed by certified teachers. ROCK sponsors open center sessions for all school aged students, so students can utilize the computer lab, gym, recreation room, and other parts of the center. Specialty classes will be held in which students can learn new skills such as drama, music, sports, arts, life skills, and other special interests. Teens will be invited to ROCK to participate in special one time events (such as concerts, dramas, and game shows), to watch movies, and to volunteer in a variety of capacities.

Not Just for the Students!

ROCK desires to serve the entire community with programs for all ages. Not only do we offer youth programming, but we also desire provide resources to strengthen families. On Friday and Saturday nights, all ages (especially with parents!) are invited to the center. We will have special family fun nights to facilitate quality time with one another and hope to offer classes to parents on topics such as nutrition, discipline, and drug awareness among other topics. Most excitingly, we have Christian counselors who provide confidential services to families on the premises.
